So once again they are predicting a possibility of weather issues on Saturday. Please make sure you check the Cobb County website for cancellation of weekend activities. http://www.cobb.k12.ga.us/
If the competition is still on, please wear your light blue Reading Bowl t-shirt over a long sleeved white shirt and report to Allatoona High School by 8:45.

Hello, Team!
Please plan on meeting for practice on Thursday, January 14th and Thursday, Janurary 21st. The week leading up to the competition is Conference Week and Mrs. Rademacher and I will not be able to meet. Please keep your information packet in a safe place, especially the directions to Allatoona High School. I should get the team shirts this week. Please plan on getting introduced on the news this coming Friday morning (hopefully wearing your team shirt). We'll discuss this more on Thursday...see you then!

Here is a copy of the email I received this morning. Please note the new date! We will meet for practice on Thursday, Jan. 14 and Thursday, Jan. 21. The week leading up to the competition is Conference Week and Mrs. Rademacher and I will not be available for practice. IF that should change and I can figure out a way to meet, I will let you know! Keep studying your questions and reading! This is perfect weather for it!!!

Okay, according to the Weather Channel, it looks like the snow should start around noon on Thursday. If school dismisses early, then we will not have our Thursday practice. I received an email regarding Saturday's competition. It says...
"Coaches & Steering Committee,
As of now, the bowl will take place this Saturday. But, IF schools are closed to students Friday due to weather (or if Cobb County cancels weekend events), then the bowl will be re-scheduled for Saturday January 30th."
I'm interpreting that to mean there will be no Saturday competition if there is no school on Friday. Again, I will be double checking on the Cobb County site and I will call you. I encourage you to check the Cobb County site for cancellations on Saturday in case I have trouble reaching you by phone.

Mrs. Rademacher said you guys had a good practice before the holidays! Hope you're enjoying your family time and getting in some question studies too! My daughter was a beautiful bride and despite the Friday night flood in Charleston, SC, her wedding day was beautiful (but cold!). Unfortunately, some of her coworkers from Winston-Salem, NC were unable to make it to the wedding due to 3-5 inches of snow!
Please enjoy your holidays but try to study your questions after the Christmas celebrations are over. We will have two practices (Wednesday and Thursday) during the last week before the competition on January 9th. If you have another commitment on that Wednesday, don't worry about it. Just send me an email so I'll know you had another "thing" to do! vivian.gabrielli@cobbk12.org
Merry Christmas to you all!
Mrs. G
