Wrapping up the year!

Well the Holiday season is finally upon us and I hope you are looking forward to enjoying some rest and relaxation with your children.

We recently attended The Nutcracker performed by the Georgia Ballet. The children thoroughly enjoyed it. As sugar plums danced across the stage our children were completely entranced by the beautiful colors and strength of the dancers.

Many holiday parties are coming up for our children. They will attend a holiday party in Mrs. Fancellas' class on Thursday the 18th and a DHH party to spend time and learn about holiday vocabulary with the rest of their hearing impaired peers.

Over the holiday break it is very important to continue to have your child learn. Please explain any events or trips you take with your child so they can communicate with their peers upon their return. You may even want to have your student write a couple sentences about the event or trip. Other things to practice with our students is addition and subtraction math facts. Our students need almost a daily review of these cards/problems. Another thing is to read! read! read!

Have a wonderful holiday!
