Week of April 14, 2008

This week we are reading:  A Lion to Guard Us by Clyde Bulla.  We are also working on a picture prompt writing using word and our memory stick.  Isaiah Hunter is our TOSS teacher from Kennesaw State College is still working with our class.  CRCT stars on the Wednesday April 23 thru 29 from 8-10 daily.  Makeup test days are April 30 – May 2.

Spelling will be unit # 29. 

Specials Rotation : Monday -Art, Tuesday- PE, Wednesday-Music,

                               Thursday-Lab, Friday- PE

Friday: Spelling DOL, Wordly Wise, Social Studies exam on French and Indian War.

Week of 8 October, 2007

This will be a normal week.  The AR Moms have been doing a great job and we are ahead of the rest of the classes getting started.  Mrs. Belloto (Room Mom) has the tentative dates for the upcoming field trips.  She will make the call as to who will be chaperones on field trips.

Monday:  We will start a new book “The cricket in

Times Square

” Science will be “Weather” Soc. Stu will be to finish off the presentations for Regions.  Spelling Unit #7 Specials is Lab

Tuesday:  Reading “Cricket”.  Working on Weather.  Spelling Unit #7  Specials is PE

Wednesday:  Reading “Cricket”.  Working on Weather.  Spelling Unit #7  Specials is Art.  TARGET DAY

Thursday: Review “Cricket” for Friday quiz.  Review Weather for quiz Friday.  Spelling Unit #7  Specials is PE

Friday:  Quiz on DOL, Wordley Wise, Spelling, Weather, and Cricket.  Read in this Friday

NOTE:  Next week is my Eye Surgery.  I will be gone on Thursday the 18th and back on Monday the 29^th.  Mr. Mills will be the Sub for the entire time.

This time I am on time.  This will be a normal week.  The AR Moms have been doing a great job and we are ahead of the rest of the classes getting started.  Mrs. Belloto (Room Mom) has published a class roster with Phone Numbers and e-mail address.  If you want your name on it please let us know.

Monday:  We will be reading “Ribsy”  Soc Stu. Working on regions. And finishing off the writing.  Specials is Lab

Wednesday:  Finish “Ribsy” and start summery.  Working on Regions and start collecting Data. Start learning Power Point for Regions.  Specials is Art.

Thursday: We will review “Ribsy for quiz on Friday,  Work on Regions,  Specials is PE

Friday:  Quiz on DOL, Wordley Wise, Spelling, and Ribsy.  Work on Power point for Regions.  Specials is Music

NOTE:  5^th grade is starting their testing on Wednesday and will continue into next week.  There not be Target on Wednesday, I understand..

Week of 17 September, 2007

This week should be a normal week.  Five days with no interruptions.  Many of the parents are still asking about the flash drive.  I would like for our students to have on because they can do work here at school on the computer and take it home and continue to work on the project.  Performing arts flyers are going home Monday so please look at them and respond before the end of the week if you can.

Monday:  Social Studies Starting “Regions”.  Still reading Ribsy, working on five paragraph narrative,  Sitton Spelling.  Specials is Lab.

I am late with this Blog, but I will get better.  We will try to have the reading level for our readers done this week.  The AR Moms are coming in on Tuesday to work on it.  I have sent home request from the room mom for information on all of you and permission to use your address and phone numbers for a class roster.  Nothing special this week.

Monday:  We started the writing “My Vacation”  we are using the flash Drives if they have them.  Specials is PE

Week of 3 September, 2007

Good morning everyone.  I have had 4 parents e-mail me at home so I have started a parent’s folder for fast contact.  I will be out this Tuesday morning and I will be out for an in service on Thursday morning.  Friday we are going to a read in for the students.  They can bring blankets and a book to read.  I provide the snacks.  This is an opportunity to read quietly for an hour.
