We are busy getting ready for Native American Day! It is November 18. Please continue to send in the empty containers with lids. They can be empty coffee cans, Baby Formula cans, or other types of this size. We will be making drums with them. Thank you!

Its been a great first two days of school so far! Only a few glitches but everything is beginning to run smoother :) Your child is bringing home a yellow folder. Please check it daily for information. If you need to send a note/money to us put it in the plastic sleeve. Also, if there are any transportation changes let us know in writing. Thank you! Its going to be a great year!

Dear Parents,
It was wonderful meeting you at the Meet and Greet on Friday! I am very excited about this year and I know your children are as well. I will send home more information about our class in your child's yellow daily take home folder. Be sure to send it back with your child daily.
Just a heads up about the first day, your child is very excited and may be anxious when they arrive at school. Your child may express initial anxiety with tears but I promise that it quickly fades. It is often best to briefly walk in with your child, reassure them with lots of hugs and kisses, and quickly leave with a smile! I am a parent too and I completely understand that your "smile" may hard especially if this is your first :) You will be amazed at how well the children adapt and gain independence! Remember to attend the Tears and Tissues gathering to help encourage you :)
Here are a few more first day of school reminders:
I hope this helps make the transition go smoothly!
Sincerely,
Paige Loudermilk

I want to remind you about the Nursery Rhyme Parade on October 15. You and your child can create a costume that reflects their favorite nursery rhyme. Some examples could be a candlestick for Jack Be Nimble or a toy lamb for Mary Mary Quite Contrary. Be as creative as you want! Remember to have clothes to change back into after the parade. I look forward to seeing what you come up with :)
